Belgrad za dnia i w nocy. Ta energiczna stolica Serbii i byłej Jugosławii zaskoczyła mnie przede wszystkim swoją europejskością, a może nawet i światowym klimatem. Samo miasto, mimo że pierwsze ślady zamieszkania datuje się na 5000 lat p.n.e., może nie ma za wiele do zaoferowania jeśli chodzi o architekturę czy zabytki, ale atmosfera, ludzie, setki kafejek, forteca, liczne parki, stare miasto i nowa część - Zemun, robią swoje! Lubię takie miejsca, w których na każdym kroku czuć energię, gdzie ludzie są pomocni, życzliwi, komunikatywni - mówią po angielsku, a w razie potrzeby to i po polsku. Belgrad leży u zbiegu dwóch rzek Sawy i Dunaju. Samo miasto jest trochę chaotyczne, z mnóstwem samochodów, wąskimi uliczkami. Idąc wieczorem przez centrum trzeba przeciskać się między ludźmi na deptaku, ogródki kawiarniane zachęcają do odpoczynku - tętnią życiem, pomimo że to środek tygodnia, liczne drzewa sprawiają, że wieczorny spacer staje się jeszcze bardziej przyjemny, wszędzie jakieś bary, restauracje albo place z ławkami i młodzieżą pijąca piwo. Stare miasto położone jest na wzgórzu przez co piesza wędrówka odbywa się to w górę, to w dół, dodając uroku okolicy i rozpościerającemu się widokowi. Warto również odwiedzić nową część miasta Zemun - zwróconą ku rzece, wzdłuż której kolejne restauracje, a także bary na łodziach kuszą zimnym piwem i aromatycznymi daniami z ryb – ta część znacznie różni się od centrum dodając różnorodności Belgradowi. Bardzo pozytywne miasto, z mnóstwem kulturalnych wydarzeń. Sam byłem zszokowany ilu zagranicznych artystów z najwyższej półki odwiedzi stolicę Serbii. Afisze pełne plakatów reklamujących występy takich gwiazd jak: Bob Dylan, Elton John, Metallica, Paco de Lucia, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation i wiele innych, wszystko to podczas zbliżających się miesięcy. Moim zdaniem Belgrad to bardzo ciekawe miejsce, warte odwiedzenia, na minimum parę dni zwiedzania!

Noc w pokoju 4 osobowym dla dwóch osób to 22 euro za noc. Znowu sympatyczne miejsce, w miarę w centrum miasta, pomocna obsługa odpowie na większość pytań. Raczej młodzieżowe miejsce. Plusem tego hostelu jest parking bezpieczny i za darmo. http://www.greenstudiohostel.com
Info: najbliższe fast foody z słyną plackawicą znajdują się na tej samej ulicy co hostel (na lewo od wyjścia), jeśli chodzi o restauracje czy kafejiki to nic konkretnego nie polecę- jest tego tak dużo, że śmiało można sobie poradzić. W nowej części miasta – Zemun, nad rzeką serwują pyszne rybki w panierce prosto z rozgrznego oleju, miękkie, świeże, smakują wśmienicie zwłaszcza z piwem.

Belgrade night and day. This energetic capital of Serbia surprised me with it’s European or even world class and atmosphere. First signs of inhabitation of this area are dated on 5000 BC, city itself doesn’t have much to offer if you are looking for historical monuments but atmosphere: people, hundreds of cafes, fortress, many parks, old city and new part of the city – Zemun, make the difference! I like places like this, where you can feel energy everywhere you go, where people are open and helpful, where they speak English, and if you need even polish. The city itself is a bit chaotic, with cars everywhere, narrow streets and a lot of people. When walking around the old city in the night you have to find you place to walk there is so many people, cafes everywhere invite you to seat have a drink and relax, central streets pumping with life event though is Tuesday. The city centre is a pleasant place to hang around, trees on the streets give a shadow during day and looks beautiful in night time too. Lot of park with young people, this is a student city so you can see young people everywhere, which is always nice if you know what I mean. It’s worth to go to new part of the city – Zemum, which is located next to the river where you can find place to drink a local beer, eat some fresh fishes and relax looking at the river. This part of the city gives nice touch of verity to the Belgrade. Very positive city, with cultural background. I was shocked how many world famous artists come to capital of Serbia to perform: Bod Dylan, Elton John, Metallica, Paco de Lucia, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Roger Sanchez and many more. In my opinion Belgrade is a very interesting place, to spend couple days, hang around, talk to the very open people, observe. You almost can’t notice that Belgrad is a capital of the country which is still in difficult economic and political moment, and not so long time ago there was war going around.
Sleeping: Green Studio Hostel adres: Karađorđeva 69/42 Belgrade, Serbia. Night in the room for 4 for two people was 22 euro/nigh. Very cool place, bright and colourful, in the center of city, staff very open and helpful answer all you questions. Hostel rather for youneger ppl 18-26 yold. Big plus is that you have parking free where Belgrad is rather difficult place to find safe free parking place.
Info: The closest fast food with famous ‘palckavica’ you can find on left leaving hostel building, if you are looking for restaurants you wont have many problem to find perfect place – Belgrada is full of bars and restaurants. In the new part of the town over river try this small braded fried fishes, soft, fresh, taste perfectly especially with cold beer.
